It’s so weird how a situation like this could be a blessing and a curse, but it is a very important decision that has to be made. There are many women who have decided that they will raise their child on their own for whatever reason whether it’s good or bad. Then there are those who no matter how dead beat the father is they will allow him the right to see his child.

In reality every father isn’t a good one. And although fathers are much needed, if they bring negativity and drama you may be better off without him. You have to weigh the results, not your options. What I mean is: look at how your child benefits or suffers from the presence of their father. If a father comes over and curses you out or beats on you or starts fights in front of your kids then your children aren’t benefiting from his presence. But if he comes with kind words, smiles, gifts and good advice then they will benefit greatly from his presence.

So when making this choice think about the good of the child and not your own personal preference. I say that because you may hate his guts, but your child may love him like crazy. Or you may love him like crazy and your child hates his guts.Either way your safe because your child will only love what is genuine and pure and good for you also. In all reality the child’s growth is what matters the most, so do what is best for a healthy growth and childhood.
